I’m 18 and am looking to work in the medical field as a RN or MA (after I graduate). I want to work in a Nursing home in order to build up a decent resume’, as this would look good on a college transcript. Is there any job at all that Nursing Homes have to offer for someone my age? So i’ve been looking into some things online trying to make some extra cash and i’ve been looking at these two i did see they are an accredited business with BBB but i just want to know if anyone has worked for either from home and can give me a little more info than what is on the sites for arise are you like an independant contractor or an actual employee? and do you get paid for training? and with west at home about how much do you get paid with them? and any other info would really be helpful thanks!! I have been with west for about one year now and I did get paid for training. The pay is based on the skill that you are hired for. I am unable to comment on the pay for other skills, but my skill pays per minute and if it adds up to being less than the state’s minimum wage, they make up the difference. This is called minimum wage adjustment. What I like is the flexibility. Say if I want to pick up 2 hours in the evening, I can do so via their scheduling system if the hours are available. It is great income if you are looking for extra money on the side. If you are hired, there is a possibility that you may get more per minute depending on the position they are trying to fill.
There is an assessment, but I don’t remember if a headset is required for it or not. Perhaps the assessments are based on the position they are filling.
