3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online.

by John Savage

If you want to make a success of affiliate marketing then there are 3 things which you need to know.

It goes without saying that you probably want to discover the most successful market which will provide you with the biggest paycheck.

Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.

In order to not only survive online, but to actually succeed, you need to be aware of three marketing tips which have been proven over time to work, and which will continue to work in the future.

Ok then, what are these three tips?

1. The first thing you must do is to use a seperate web page for each seperate product that you are marketing. I know that it is tempting to put them all together, but this is false economy and although you will save money on hosting, you will lose sales through doing it.

A good idea is to have a clear review on your website as to what the product will do for the purchaser, and if possible try to get some testimonials from satisfied customers. These are very powerful and can often turn a potential customer into a buying customer. Needless to say, these testimonials have to be genuine, and you must get the customers permission before using them.

Now, how are your article writing skills? I ask this because if you can include an article on your website, which explains in greater details about your product or service, you can be on to a winner. Make sure you have a good headline, and always tell the customer what you want them to do i.e. order your goods or services.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Like it or not, visitors to your site plan to do one of two things. They either plan to buy your product or service, or they plan to take a look and then navigate away. However, if you can capture their email address then the chances of you making a sale are greatly increased as you can keep on putting your sales message in front of them once or twice every week.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word free because there are still older spam filters that dump that kind of content into the junk before anyone get to read them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

What you need to be doing is turning out at least 2 new articles a week, consisting of between 400-600 words each. I know that is not easy, but it will pay dividends in a steady stream of prospects to your website.

Unfortunately, not everone who clicks onto your site will be a purchaser, and in truth, the majority of your visitors will click away, some within a few seconds, without buying. It stands to reason therefore that in order to succeed online you must have a good and regular flow of visitors to your site.

Now I have given you three tactics which if applied, will help your business. But just reading about this will do nothing, you must decide to give time, energy and effort in order to make things happen.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end up maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business, which not all marketers can do. Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving
