A great money making business opportunity is becoming a Virtual Assistant. Also known as a VA, this job requires you to take work off the shoulders of others. It is a great way to work at home on the computer, as you will be providing someone with pretty much any task they need done online. For example, you will do things like appointment setting, letter composition and research on the Internet. You will make money by requiring a flat or hourly rate for each task or job. You need to determine your proficiencies as a VA, which you can do using the following steps.
Step one is determining the basic skills you posses.
Step 2 is to specify the specialized skills you have.
Step 3 is to specify the expertise you have.
Step one is determining the basic skills you posses. Research on the Internet, composing emails and using Microsoft Word are examples of basic skills that most people have. These types of skills are simple, but they take a lot of time to complete. Hiring someone to complete these tasks can save someone a lot of time and allow them to focus on their main job at hand.
Step 2 is to specify the specialized skills you have. Specialized skills are skills that are more advanced than basic ones, such as proficiency using blogging software or a graphic design program. These skills give your more value than those who have the same basic skills that you do. If you have both specialized and basic skills, you will be a more powerful VA.
Step 3 is to specify the expertise you have. Skills are important, but knowledge that isn’t related to skills on the computer is also important. This is know as expertise. This will make you more appealing to an employer. You will know a lot about certain subjects, and this will make you a more productive VA.
When you are a VA, you will provide someone with the ability to give you tasks they don’t want to do or have time to do. This is a service, so it should be done at the highest level possible.
