Are working mothers insulted by stay-at-home-moms?
I’m just wondering if working mothers are insulted by stay-at-home-moms when they claim they work 100 hours a week or stuff like that… or complain or boast about taking care of their home, their kids, and their man like only a stay-at-home-mom can do?
I’m asking this based on several answers I’ve seen. I’m not a mother, but I’m insulted on behalf of my mother who was an educated woman who pursued a good career, worked 40 hours a week, was one of the best loving and nurturing parents I’ve ever seen, cooked, cleaned, helped the kids with homework, kept up with all the bills, and managed to be an excellent wife and still does the same thing with her grandkids to this day. I just find it insulting when these people claim they have it “harder” than working moms.
Thoughts? Opinions?
I am a stay at home mom and I don’t for a minute think I have it harder than any mother that works a job outside the home also. I think its wonderful for some of the woman that can actually do all of these things and still maintain a home. I feel as though I could do a lot better just being at home than I am doing right now, and I don’t even have any other responsibilities other than my daughter and the home.
