I need a reputable company that offers work at home opportunities.?

I am a stay-at-home mother who needs additional income besides my husband’s. I don’t want to sell, I don’t want to invest in an "at home business" which requires money. I have heard of places where you can actually work from home, whether it’s answering calls or whatever doesn’t matter. But a real job.

What is reasonable for a home based business to charge itself for rent?

The ones that aren’t scams actually require work on your part – and if you’re in need of money soon then you’re likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build – so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn’t true ( and those that are true sure didn’t make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required – but do your own research on what is best for you, don’t take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public forum.

There are many companies who can hire you as a work at home employee. You could work in telemarketing or customer service. Probably the best is Jet Blue. They hire customer service officers that work at home. Basically you would get calls from customers who would like to either change their flight details or just book flights and you do it for them sitting at home. Hope it helps and best of luck.

I’m a SAH wife, and mom of 5 homeschooled children. Hubby works 5-7 days/wk @ an hour’s drive each way, so we were really looking hard for something to help tie up loose ends and hopefully more, as all that working is really hard on him, sometimes working 12 hr shifts (on 2nd shift).

I’ve found a very reputable home-based business and I love it! I’m sold on the products… it is a company based upon christian values, as well as being a "green & healthy living" company!

I realize you said you aren’t looking for this, but maybe in the future, it could be something you’d be interested in… or maybe you know of someone who is looking for what our business has to offer!

I also have a yahoo group for Christian homebased businesses to come together and support and encourage one another. The main rule is that we purchase once monthly ($10 minimum) from another business owner in the group. After that, one is free to post one ad per day to promote their business to the rest of the group, as well as those who would join after! If you refer someone to the group, the requirement is that that person make a $10 purchase to you who referred them. Each month after that, their purchase can be from any group member. What we get in return is increased sales, advertising/promotion, friendships, tips, ecouragement and support!

    Hi There,

I am a work at home mom, and have been for several years now. I love it. I recommend it for anyone who possibly can. I have an ebook (free) that goes over the different kinds of opportunities and what to expect with each.

I would be more than happy to forward that to you and I can recommend a few other resources as well.

I hope this helps. Best of Luck!!

I would do liveopps.com or project payday. Those are the only two I know from searching EVERYTHING that work. Project payday takes a bit of patience and aggravation but eventually you will make money. Live ops is a answering service. That is easy. Either way I (from experience) highly recommend home based business. You can plan the rest of you life with this. The investment is worth it when you find the right one. If you ever have interest in this or any questions, email me!

This is more along the lines of part time money, but I do have a friend that is making their first check with this site: http://www.yuwie.com/r/12987/ so you might check that out. It’s a site just like mySpace and everyone seems to be having a lot of fun on there + they make money.

    Hope that helps!

I know you stated that you don’t want an "at-home business" or something that you have to invest in. But this company I just started working with a few months ago is really great. You don’t have to do a whole lot to get residual income and the only money you have to "invest" in it is to purchase products that you use on a daily basis anyways. We are a wellness company, with safer, greener everyday products. All I do is tell people about the company and the products one time and help them sign up to shop with the company once a month. Once the customer is enrolled they do the rest of the work and you collect a check each month they shop. If you would like more info on this please check out our groups website and feel free to email me back if your interested in learning more. http://www.brightwomen.com

I tried over 18 home businesses in the course of 3 years so please forgive the length of this post but you will find it very informative. Learn from my mistakes! Also make sure to read all the way to the bottom because I have included a list of the top 10 work at home scams. I am a mother of two little girls who are actually tugging on my arm as I write this so I will try to be brief. Many people are looking for work from home companies. All the scams definitely create a big problem but also, there is a problem of people misunderstanding the difference between work from home "jobs" and work from home opportunities. There really are not work from home “jobs”. To get that you have to start working for a company in their offices first, then they MAY allow you to take the job home.

Most of the work from home opportunities that are legitimate offers are not an hourly pay type job. They are business opportunities that help you in starting your own business from your home. What you should do first is to decide if you are simply looking for an hourly rate type job or if you are looking for more of an opportunity for additional income such as what you would make in your own business being your own boss from home. Small home businesses have some small costs involved, less than $500 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $1000-$5000. It doesn’t cost that much to start and run a home business so you shouldn’t pay it.

If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN don’t walk the other way! They never are. I tried them many a times and 3 weeks later I had to buy this and 6 weeks later that. After 6 months these “free businesses” had cost me over $800 on average.

After trying 18 things I work about 18-25 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. This is a nationally known and reputable home business which is what you need to make sure you are looking for. I have been with the company almost a year and a half now and I make over $3500 a month! In your first month, depending on how many hours you can work, I have seen people make anywhere from $500 to over $2500. And your income will increase each month because you get paid residual income as well.

The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit, life insurance and a benefits package most of which you get from day one. In addition, there are no products, no hard selling or pushing, no cold calling, no home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me. I absolutely love working with them and I can’t believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. You have great team support and you get to know the other people on your team pretty well.

I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce, and the National Association of Dental Plans and the owner of the company actually sits on the board of The Consumer Health Alliance to which we are also members. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” “Time Magazine” “American Medical Review” and even in the May 2008 issue of “Parents Magazine”. Even “60 Minutes” did a big special on this home based business.

Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nationwide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, K-mart, Rite Aid, CVS, Wal-mart, Publix and more. These companies would never work with a company that was anything less than reputable.
