I’m thinking of installing Google Chrome on my PC at work. However, at home I use a Mac. Will I still be able to access my Gmail account and check my emails on my Mac?

Yes. Google Chrome is a browser. GMail (Google Mail) is an online mail system accessible through any browser.

Of course you will but if you use outlook express Gmail account for the free pop forwarding you will need to set it up again.
